Open Water Jumps and Liverpools: Made in Italy design, safety and quality
The success of a horse jumping competition depends as much on the brilliance of the course as on the quality of the obstacles themselves. Jump Off offers these two fundamental aspects. Thanks to Andrea Colombo‘s many years of experience as an international Course Director, we not only offer advice on the best layout of the elements in the competition course, but also construct Open Water Jumps and Liverpools that are the result of this same expertise.
We know that an obstacle must be inviting for the horse, positioned at the right distance to allow optimal recovery between jumps, but above all it must be safe. That is why we make Liverpools and Open Waters Jumps using the highest quality materials, resistant to shocks and weathering, with a design that encourages jumping while respecting the horse’s biomechanics and psychology. The safety of the competing combination is our signature.

Liverpools: the obstacle that adds technique and colour to the course
The Liverpool is a classic and always fascinating element in show jumping courses. Usually placed under the barriers of a vertical or a broad, it introduces a spot of colour — often blue, to simulate water — that requires attention and precision from the combination.
It is an obstacle that adds an interesting technical element, testing the horse’s concentration and the rider’s ability to manage the trajectory. Present in categories of a certain level — generally from 115 cm upwards — the Liverpool contributes to creating varied and visually appealing courses. Our Liverpools are made to be highly visible, stable and safe, even in the event of contact.

Open Water Jumps: the long jump that boosts confidence and power
Open Waters Jumps are unique: they are the only true long jump in modern show jumping. A glittering expanse of water to be overcome with a powerful and precise leap. It is an obstacle that embodies the spectacular nature of the discipline and requires an exceptional connection between horse and rider.
Tackling an Open Water requires courage, mutual trust and the utmost concentration. It appears to be a simple jump in its essence, but hides considerable technical pitfalls. Precisely because of their challenging nature, the construction quality of Open Water Jumps is crucial: safe materials, well-defined and stable edges, and regulation dimensions are essential for safety. At Jump Off we design and build Made in Italy Open Water Jumps that meet the highest FEI safety standards, offering a fair and spectacular challenge for advanced riders.
